I fully appreciate the enormity of this project, especially given that my father lived in that very same house his entire 88 years and still had things from his childhood. I’m sure that that, combined with my mom’s reluctance to throw anything away, presented you with some difficult challenges. From day one you treated my parents with respect, courtesy and consideration while you tackled the tasks of sorting, organizing, down-sizing and packing their lives into what needed to be an apartment sized portion. Living 3 hours away from them, I don’t know how I would have been able to accomplish all we needed to in the time frame we had to without your help. I appreciate your resourcefulness in finding and negotiating with dumpster and trash removal providers, donation facilities and appraisers to evaluate their collectables. So too I appreciate your ability to organize and schedule visits and pick-ups at times that were convenient and made sense for everyone involved. While my family thanks you for all of those things, we mostly want to acknowledge and thank you for the compassion and understanding you showed my parents while completing this project.
